It started out as a simple venture, really....2 Kilns, 600 Molds more or less, some shelving units, brushes, paints, tools, and some bisque and greenware pieces, a pouring table and some extras...the pictures we saw showed a small undertaking. We called the people who were selling it on Saturday night, got all the information, discussed pricing, exactly what they had, and was told they had a "steep driveway." (In my mind the steep driveway was straight up....NOPE, it ended up being straight down!) We got the biggest UHaul they had, a 26' one. Sunday, I went onto the computer and wrote down all directions, found out that Google Earth has an awesome virtual tour, which was really great in directions. Monday morning at 6:30 a.m. we were on our way. We get to the house and find out that it's not just a "small venture", it's a HUGE venture. Way, way over 600 molds, 2 kilns, a pouring table, 2 other tables that had been nailed together to make a large space to pour multiple molds at once, paints, paints, paints, and more paints, brushes, tools, 20 large shelves units full of bisque and greenware, 9 shelving units, which ended up being 41 large shelves packed full of molds, not to mention the ones they had on the floor, under the pouring tables, and the ones in their garage. We spent 2 days loading everything we could, still have another trip to make, and unloaded everything in 4 hours 10 minutes in a storage unit. Let's just say the trip back was nail biting!!!!!! Amber, Brian, and I started organizing everything at the storage unit, and we brought home 3 boxes of stuff so I could start painting. Now all we have to do is find a shop, and as of right now, we're operating out of the house. You see some of the finished pieces so far. More will be added as they are finished.
We have all of these for sale, plus we'll be selling some molds, and the bisque you can buy either painted or unpainted, along with greenware being sold too.
We have everyday stuff for sale, chilipots, lotion dispensers, lamps, vases, cups, teapots, plates, spoonrests, candleholders, napkin holders, etc., plus we have holiday stuff, such as, Halloween: pumpkins, ghosts, witches....Christmas: 3 wisemen, poinsetta Christmas tree, 4" Christmas tree....just to name a few.
